✍️ How to Write Your Wedding Vows (Without the Stress)

Writing your own wedding vows can feel overwhelming—but it doesn’t have to be.

The truth is, your vows don’t need to be perfect. They just need to be real.

Start by thinking about your relationship.

How did you meet?

What makes your partner special to you?

What are the little things you love about them?

From there, think about what you want to promise. Vows are not just about how you feel—they’re about the commitment you’re making.

A simple structure can help:

  • Start with what you love about your partner

  • Share a memory or two

  • Talk about what your relationship means to you

  • End with meaningful promises

Don’t feel like you need to sound poetic or overly formal. Speak the way you normally speak. If your relationship is full of laughter, it’s okay to include humor. If it’s deeply emotional, lean into that.

And remember—your vows are for each other. Everyone else is just lucky enough to witness them.

At the end of the day, the best vows are the ones that feel honest, heartfelt, and true to your relationship.
